For Catholics, our faith is inseparable from the sacraments; and there is an essential connection between our faith and the way we put love of Christ into action in our families, in our communities, and in the world. In our upcoming Wednesday night series, Our Faith, Our Sacraments, Our Social Mission, we seek to enrich our understanding of the connections between the celebration of the sacraments, the call to holiness, and our social mission as followers of Jesus and members of the Catholic Church. The series begins on January 11 and runs through February 15 on Wednesday evenings in Deasy Hall. Dinner will be available at 5:30pm with the program beginning at 6:10pm. Following dinner, we will pray together, hear a brief presentation on each of our sacraments framed in a way to stimulate small group discussions about how our celebration of the sacraments can inspire us to minister to our family, friends, and those in need in our community. Following is the schedule of dates and subjects:
January 11 - Baptism & Confirmation
January 18 - Eucharist & Liturgy
January 25 - Penance/Reconciliation
February 1: Anointing of the Sick
February 8 - Matrimony
February 15 - Holy Orders
