POP Helps "Food for our Journey" Feed Homeless

We packed 200 fried chicken lunches for the homeless on June 28 and can't wait to do it again in July!  As you may have heard, POP is partnering with Food for Our Journey food truck to provide a hot lunch for the homeless of Birmingham. In the past, we donated and served meals at Church of the Reconciler, but they are not serving meals right now. So, we have switched gears and will provide the food truck with meals instead.  The food truck is currently serving 600 meals a day, seven days a week.  We will be providing a meal one Sunday per month and, depending upon your response, we may be able to add another day!

If you’d like to donate food, water, containers, utensils, water or help to fill the takeout containers with food, click here on Sign Up Genius where you can select your date of service and item to donate.  (At this time, the food truck is not able to have volunteers on the truck.)

See photos from the day here.
