The Troubles of Teenagers-Helping Our Youth Survive the Teenage Years
New Wednesday night program just added!
When teenagers die, almost all die of preventable, violent deaths: car accidents, suicide, and homicide chief among the causes. High-risk behavior also contributes to serious injury, entanglement in the juvenile justice system, and family conflict. But the key is understanding the great potential for preventing these tragedies. There are things parents can do to make a real difference, according to Dr. Dale Wisely.
Dr. Wisely will address strategies for preventing high risk behaviors and promoting life-saving ones in your teen on May 10 at 6:10pm in POP's Deasy Hall. This topic has been at the center of Dr. Wisely’s life work as a child/adolescent psychologist and school administrator over the past forty years. He brings a wide range of experience in helping families develop the kind of relationships with their kids that encourage healthy and positive behavior.
Parents (and all concerned about our youth!) take advantage of this excellent opportunity to learn how to keep your teen safe. Dinner available at 5:30pm; free will donation appreciated.
