Prince of Peace’s women of worship ministry created over 70 Easter baskets for children as a Lenten service project. Ministry member Sandy Stewart brought the outreach idea to the group after learning that the Birmingham Exchange Club was seeking filled baskets for the children they serve. Members of the WOW ministry enthusiastically supported this project, donating over $600 for supplies. The ladies purchased the baskets and filled them with a chocolate bunny, a small teddy bear, plastic eggs filled with chocolate candy, jelly beans and bubble gum and also included an egg-dying kit and a Christian Easter card. The baskets were delivered to the Exchange Club who will deliver them to the families whom they serve in time for Easter.
