Youth Protection Training Class at POP in August

Prince of Peace is hosting a Youth Protection Training Workshop on August 8th, 6-8pm, in Deasy Hall.  It will be the only workshop hosted at POP this year.  To see the full slate of workshops being  held throughout the diocese and/or to register for a classroom workshop click here.   The classroom workshops are free.

Can't fit a classroom workshop into your schedule?  You can also complete your training online in English or Spanish, at your convenience, for a small fee.

Once training (online or classroom) is complete, the following documents must be provided to either the POP religious ed office (for church volunteers) or to the POP Catholic School (for school volunteers) to complete the certification process.  The documents will not be automatically sent to POP; you must complete that step. If you have questions about this, please contact Cathy Yarbrough.

  • copy of training completion certificate or card
  • signed "youth protection code of conduct receipt form"
  • completed and signed "volunteer inquiry release form"

All parish employees and all volunteers who work in ministries where children or vulnerable adults participate must complete diocesan youth protection training.
