"Faithstories" - New Adult Evening Program Starts Feb 13
Jan 23, 2019
Faithstories is a new seven-week Wednesday evening adult program designed by Father Joy Nellissery and Dr. Dale Wisely to enrich your faith life and offer insights into the Bible and the Catholic sacraments. Faithstories evenings will feature guest speakers who will share their personal faith stories and experiences; a brief talk about living as a faithful Christian; and group discussion.
At our first Faithstories gathering on February 13, our guest speaker will be Cameron Cole, the director of children, youth, and family at Cathedral Church of the Advent in Birmingham. After the sudden and unexplained death of their three-year-old son, Cameron Cole and his wife found themselves clinging to Christ through twelve key truths—truths that became their lifeline in the midst of unthinkable grief. Weaving together his family’s story of tragedy and abiding faith, Cameron explores these life-giving truths to offer hope and comfort to those in the midst of tragedy.
Cameron Cole is chairman of Rooted: Advancing Grace-Driven Youth Ministry. He is author of Therefore I Have Hope: 12 Truths That Comfort, Sustain, and Redeem in Tragedy (Crossway) and co-editor of Gospel-Centered Youth Ministry: A Practical Guide (Crossway).
Plan to arrive at 5:30pm for dinner in Deasy Hall and stay for the program from 6:15pm-7:30pm. Childcare will be available in the church nursery. Faithstories begins February 13 and continues through April 3, skipping March 27. No RSVP required. Details about the following Wednesday evening Faithstories will be available soon.
