New Program - "Whole Family Catechesis"

Oct 3, 2018

Note:  This program, as scheduled, has been cancelled.   Watch the bulletin, website blog and Facebook for a similar new program in January, 2019.

As parents, we are called to be the first and primary teachers of the Catholic faith to our children.  However, often we don't know where to begin or can't seem to find time in the day to talk about our faith to our children.  As a result, weeks - even months - pass without any discussion.  So, how do we teach our children how to foster a personal relationship with God? How do we help them to understand about God's unconditional love for them?

Whole Family Catechesis is a good place to start (and/or continue) your family's faith journey.  We are holding five sessions this school year.  All sessions will offer a presentation by Dr. Dale Wisely, POP's director of family life; an activity for parents and children to do together; and catechesis for children.

Each two-hour, Sunday afternoon session in Deasy Hall is geared to a specific age group; however, you are welcome to bring siblings to all sessions.  Childcare will be available in the church nursery.

October 21 - families with children in grades 3-5

December 9 - families with children in K5-grade 1

January 13 - families with children in grades 6-8

February 24 - families with children in high school

March 10 - families with preschool children ages 3-4

Please register for these sessions and childcare here and direct your questions to Megan Everett, POP's director of formation,
