Youth Groups

Please register online here for our Wednesday evening youth groups.  (Sunday School registration does not include Wednesday evening youth groups.  A separate registration is required for each.)

Elementary Catholic Kids' Club meets Wednesday evenings during the school year from 6:30-7:45 pm in the St. Monica room at the church.  Children in grades 2-5 are invited to join us to dive deeper into the Catholic faith in a fun, yet meaningful way. This new program will use praise and worship, object lessons and games to explore topics like the saints, catechism and what exactly happens during Mass.  For more information, or to volunteer with the program, please contact Kim Cripps.

Middle School Youth Group "MSYG"  meets Wednesday evenings during the school year from 5:30-7:30pm at the church. The evening begins with dinner in Deasy Hall and meeting/activities follow in the school cafeteria and gym.  Some offsite activities are planned throughout the school year.  Contact ministry leader Mandy Burmester for more information.

High School Youth Group "HSYG" meets Wednesday evenings during the school year in the youth room in the POP middle school building from 6 -8 pm. This is a time of interactive faith discussions and activities where teens can grow in their faith by discussing real life issues and participating in faith building activities as well as enjoying activities and socializing time in the gym and youth room. Contact youth minister Hannah Matthews for more information.

The high school youth group holds an annual "garage sale" with the Knights of Columbus in July to raise money for their activities.  In addition, the group does hands-on local mission work in the Birmingham area, such as Habitat for Humanity. Follow them on Facebook at Prince of Peace High School Youth Group on on Instagram at popcatholichsyg.
