Kara Woodard is a graduate of the University of Florida (B.S. Speech Pathology) and the University of South Carolina (Master of Speech Pathology). She is a longtime member of the Catholic Diocese of Birmingham having attended Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic School and graduating from John Carroll Catholic High School. Kara's family (parents Ron and Pam Ozeki and sister Kimberly) are one of the founding families of Prince of Peace. In May 2008, Kara joined the Prince of Peace staff as the Adventure Ark Playschool and Nursery director. One of her favorite aspects of being in this role is getting to know so many families and watching the little ones learn and grow. 

Kara is the only staff member who was married at Prince of Peace. In fact, her marriage to Eric Woodard was the first wedding that Fr. Fallon officiated as pastor of Prince of Peace in 1998. The Woodards live in Hoover and have three sons: Brandon, Parker and Keegan.
